Poch'ereth. The children of Pochereth, of Zebaim, were among the children of Solomon's servants, who returned with Zerubbabel.  Ezra 2:57;  Nehemiah 7:59.

(Heb. Poke'reth, פֹּכֶרֶת , Ensnaring; Sept. ( Φακεράθ , v. r. Φαχεράθ , etc.), the name apparently of a person ("P. of Zebaim," the Sept. in some copies supplies "son of" between the words) whose "children" were among the Nethinim that returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel ( Ezra 2:57;  Nehemiah 7:59). B.C. ante 540.
