an Italian painter, of San Daniello, studied with Pompoieo Amalteo, and followed his manner. Lanzi mentions a fresco by him at San Daniello representing the Virgin with the Infant Christ, seated upon a throne, surrounded by Thomas the apostle, Valentine, and other saints, signed "Opus Julii Urbanis, 1574.': See Spooner, Biog.
