( כֹּר , Kor , properly a round vessel; Gr. Κόρος ), a measure both for liquids and solids, containing ten ephahs or baths ( Ezekiel 45:14), and equal to the Homer (q.v.). In 1 Kings 4:22; 1 Kings 5:11; 2 Chronicles 2:10; 2 Chronicles 27:5; Luke 16:7, it is rendered indefinitely "measure" (q.v.); but in 1 Esdras 8:20, it is correctly Anglicized. (See Metrology).
