( Βαγώσης ), the general of Artaxerxes (probably Mnemon; the text, as emended by Hudson, has Τοῦ Ἄλλου Ἀρταξέρξου v. r. Τοῦ ῎Αχου Ἀρτ .); he sacrilegiously entered the Temple at Jerusalem, and imposed oppressive taxes upon the Jews (Josephus, Ant. 11:7,1).
