He labored for the cause of the evangelical schools, not only iu Geneva, but also in [[Bohemia]] and Moravia, where he went for this special purpose. He also visited [[England]] and [[France]] to promote the kingdom of God, and during the winter of 1870 and 1871 he labored among the Protestant French prisoners in Germany.
