He was pastor of a congregation of General Baptists, [[Worship]] Street, London from 1792 to 1827, and died in the latter year, leaving a number of theological sermons and other works, for a list of which see Watt, Bibl. Brit., and the Gentleman's Magazine, XCVII, 1:369. He published, in 1797, An Attempt to Account for the [[Infidelity]] of the Late Mr. Gibbon.
