He was ordained at Clementsvale, January 4, 1865, labored there for several years, then became pastor at Hillsburg, where his fervent labors broke down his constitution, and he died March 25, 1879. His zeal was unflagging, his love for his flock intense. See Baptist Year-book for the Maritime Provinces, 1879; Bill, Fifty Years with the Baptists, page 554. </p>
