<p> John, was born at Martley, near Worcester, England, about 1598; was educated at Oxford, and became fellow of Merton College. About 1631 he was made rector of Lapworth, Warwickshire; and after the restoration of [[Charles]] II he was appointed prebendary of [[Westminster]] and rector of Cheam, Surrey.
