<p> a Presbyterian minister, was born at Newark, N.J., July 25, 1793. He was educated at [[Princeton]] and [[Nassau]] colleges; was licensed by the New [[Jersey]] Presbytery, at Paterson, in 1820, and became pastor of the Presbyterian, Church at Mendham. Subsequently he was called to the Second Presbyterian Church of Newark, where he labored faithfully for twelve years. He died December 27, 1860. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1862, page 185. </p>
