Webster's Dictionary [1]

(1): ( a.) Being in the middle; running through the middle; as, a median groove.

(2): ( a.) Situated in the middle; lying in a plane dividing a bilateral animal into right and left halves; - said of unpaired organs and parts; as, median coverts.

(3): ( n.) A median line or point.

(Chald. Mladaya', מָדָיא , marg. מָדָאָה ; Sept. Μῆδος , Vulg. Medus ), a patrial epithet of Darius, "the son of Ahasueras, of the seed of the Medes" ( Daniel 9:1), or " the Mede" ( Daniel 11:1), as described in  Daniel 11:31. (See Mede).
