( Μακεδών ) occurs in the A.V. of the N.T. only in Acts 27:2. In the other cases ( Acts 16:9; Acts 19:29; 2 Corinthians 9:2; 2 Corinthians 9:4) our translators render it "of Macedonia." The "Macedonians" are also mentioned in the Apocrypha (Esther 16:10, 14; 1 Maccabees 1:1; 2 Maccabees 8:20). (See Macedonia).
