<p> The modern site, el-Lubban, is laid down on the Ordnance Map ten miles north of Beitin (Bethel), and is briefly described in the accompanying Memoirs (2:286, 360) as well as by [[Guerin]] (Siamzarnia, 2:112). Smith's Bible Dictionary [1]

Lebo'nah. (Frankincense). A place named in  Judges 21:19 only. Lebonah has survived to our times under the almost identical form of El-Lubban . It lies to the west of and close to the Nablus road, about eight miles north of Beitan (Bethel), and two miles from Seilun (Shiloh).
