John Gauden [1]

Bishop of Worcester; protested against the trial of Charles I., and after his execution published "Eikon Basilikë" ( q. v .), or the "Portraiture of his Sacred Majesty in his Solitude and Sufferings," which he declared was written by him (1605-1669).
