Cock (or Kock), Jerome

a Flemish painter and engraver, was born at Antwerp in 1510. He applied himself chiefly to engraving. The following are some of his principal plates: Moses with the Tables of the Law; Daniel in the Lions' Den; Samson and Delilah; a set of eight female figures, Jael, Ruth, Abigail, Judith, Esther, Susanna, the Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene; The Resurrection; The Last Judgment; The Temptation of St. Anthony.
