<p> LBEspine (Lat. Spina, or Spinacen-s), Jean De </p> <p> a French theologian, was born about 1506. At first a monk, he renounced [[Romanism]] in 1561, and joined the [[Reformed]] Church. After the Poissy Colloquy, he was for some time preacher at Fontenay-le-Comte, and afterwards at La Rochelle. In 1564 he published his Discours du Vray [[Sacrifice]] et du Vray Sacrificateur. In 1568 he was pastor at St. Quentin, in 1572 at Paris, in 1576 at Saumur, in 1578 at Angers, and died in 1594 at Saumur.
