dem´ō̇ - fon ( Δημοφῶν , Dēmophō̇n ): A S yrian general in Palestine under Antiochus V (Eupator) who continued to harass the Jews after covenants had been made between Lysias and Judas Maccabeus (2 Macc 12:2).
