Vers. the following Hebrew words: מַלָּה , Millah' ( Job 30:9), a Word or speech (as elsewhere rendered); מָשָׁל , Mashal ( Psalms 44:14), a Proverb or parable (as elsewhere); so the kindred מְשֹׁל , Meshol ( Job 17:6); but properly: שְׁנַינָה , Sheninah', sharp words in Derision ( Deuteronomy 28:37; 1 Kings 9:7; 2 Chronicles 7:20; "taunt," Jeremiah 24:9).
