The commencement and duration of his pontificate are uncertain, but the latter is inferred, from circumstances, to have included the period in which [[Ehud]] was judge, and probably the preceding period of servitude to [[Eglon]] of Moab. [[He]] is called [[Abiezer]] by [[Josephus]] (Antiq. v. 11, 5). </p>
