Abi . The name of a queen-mother of the 8th cent. (  2 Kings 18:2 ), called Abijah in the parallel passage   2 Chronicles 29:1 . The reading in Kings is the more probable.

(Heb. Abi', אֲבַי , my father, or rather father of (See Abi)-; Sept. ‘Αβί, Vulg. Abi), a shortened form (comp.  2 Chronicles 29:1) of Abijah (See Abijah) (q.v.), the name of the mother of King Hezekiah ( 2 Kings 18:2, where the full form is also read in some Mss.).
