They are said to have come from the confines of Persia, in the time of [[Claudius]] II, to Rome, where, after rendering many services to the faithful, they were put to death under [[Aurelian]] or Diocletian, about A.D. 270. Their bodies, buried at some distance from Rome, were brought to that city about 820 by pope Pascal I and interred in the Church of St. Adrian, where they were found in 1590 at a place now called Santa Ninfa. </p>
