Arphad [1]

Ar´phad, or Arpad, a Syrian city, having its own king, and always associated in Scripture with Hamath, the Epiphania of the Greeks ( 2 Kings 18:34; 2 Kings 19:13; Isaiah 10:9; Isaiah 36:19). But all the explanations given respecting it are purely conjectural, and Arphad must still be numbered among unascertained Scriptural sites.
