sı̄´nı̄ts ( סיני , ṣı̄nı̄ ): A C anaanite people mentioned in Genesis 10:17; 1 Chronicles 1:15 . The identification is uncertain. Jerome mentions a ruined city, Sin, near Arka, at the foot of Lebanon.
