sam´us (Codex Alexandrinus Σαμμούς , Sammoús  ; Codex Vaticanus Σαμμού , Sammoú ): One of those who stood on Ezra's right hand as he expounded the Law (1 Esdras 9:43) = "Shema" in Nehemiah 8:4 .
