rē - el - ā´ya , rē - el - ı̄´a ( רעליה , re‛ēlyāh ): One of the 12 chiefs who returned with Zerubbabel ( Ezra 2:2 parallel Nehemiah 7:7 ). In the passage in Neh the name is Raamiah" ( רעמיה , ră‛amyāh ), and in 1 Esdras 5:8 "Resaias." Which is the original, it is almost impossible to decide; "Reelaiah" seems preferable.
