a -fēr´ē̇ -ma ( Ἀφαίρεμα , Aphaı́rema and Aphérema ; the King James Version Apherema ). One of three districts taken from Samaria and added to Judea by Demetrius Nicator (1 Macc 11:34). Compare Ant. , Xiii , iv, 9.
