Johann Georg Schiede [1]

a Reformed theologian of Germany, was born at Cassel, May 15, 1714. He studied at Marburg, was ordained in 1739, and appointed pastor at Carlshafen in 1741. In 1745 he was called to Hanau, was in 1755 member of consistory, and died May 13, 1792. He wrote, De Velo Tabernaculi, etc. (Marburg, 1736): — Biga Observationum Sacrarum de Codice Bibliorum Ebraico MS. Bibliothecae Casselanae (Bremeni 1748).
