(1) Father of one of the builders of the wall ( Nehemiah 3:10 ).
(2) A L evite mentioned in connection with the prayer preceding the signing of the covenant ( Nehemiah 9:5 ); possibly identical with the Hashabiah ( ḥăshabhyāh ) of Ezra 8:19 , Ezra 8:24; Nehemiah 10:11; Nehemiah 11:22; Nehemiah 12:24 , or one of these.
