Sons Of The. Prophets [1]

The disciples, or scholars, of the prophets were thus called, agreeably to the Hebrew idiom; they were instructed in the knowledge of religion and in sacred music, and were thus qualified to become public teachers ( 1 Samuel 10:11). (See Prophet).
