Richard Callander [1]

a Scotch clergyman (son of Alexander 3), studied at the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, and took his degree at the latter in 1649. He became chaplain to the countess of Roxburgh; was called to the living at Cockburnspath .in 1657; was presented to the living by the king in 1662; collated in 1663; transferred to Falkirk in 1663, and died Jan. 29, 1686, aged sixty years.
