Philip Bliss [1]

an English divine and author, was born in Gloucestershire in 1788;: educated at and fellow of St. John's College, Oxford; and died in 1857. He edited a number of works, principally of antiquarian and bibliographical interest; the most important being Wood's Athence Oxoniensis (1813-20).
