( Βαιθασμών V. r. Βαιθασμώθ ) , a place of which 42 inhabitants are stated to have returned from the captivity ( 1 Esdras 5:18); evidently the Beth- Azmaveth (See Beth-Azmaveth) (q.v.) of the genuine text ( Nehemiah 7:28; simply Azmaveth in  Ezra 2:24).
