John J. Hight [1]

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Bloomington, Indiana, December 4, 1834. In 1854 he joined the Indiana Conference, and spent two years in circuits, eleven in stations, three in the army as chaplain, one as agent for the centenary fund, four as presiding elder, and eleven as assistant editor of the Western Christian Advocate.
