(רֹקִח, Ro'Kach , Exodus 30:35), CONFECTIONARY (רִקָּחָה, Rakkachah , 1 Samuel 8:13), both derived from the root רָקִת (Rakach ), to spice, denote respectively perfume and a female perfumer, as the passages cited and the kindred terms derived from the same root (and translated "apothecary," "perfume," "ointment") indicate.
