Gazite [1]

(Heb. in the plur. with the art. ha-Azzathimn, הָעִזָּתַים; Sept. οἱ Γαζαῖοι , Vulgate Philisthiimn A.V. "the Gazites"), the designation ( Judges 16:2) of the inhabitants of GAZA (See Gaza) (q.v.); elsewhere rendered Gazathites" (q.v.).
