[usually Ga'zathite] (Heb. with the art. ha-Azzathi', הָעִזָּתַי; Sept. ὁ Γαζαῖος , A.V. "the Gazathites"), a designation ( Joshua 13:3) of the inhabitants of the city of GAZA (See Gaza) (q.v.), elsewhere rendered Gazstes ( Judges 16:2).
