Eliphal [1]

ē̇ -lı̄´fal , el´i -fal ( אליפל , 'ĕlı̄phāl , "God has judged"): Son of Ur, one of the mighty men of David's armies ( 1 Chronicles 11:35 ). the Revised Version (British and American) in a footnote identifies him with Eliphelet, son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite ( 2 Samuel 23:34; ef Davis, Dict. of the Bible , under the word "Ur").
