an Italian painter, the son and scholar of Valerio, was born at Genoa in 1550. His; best historical works are in that city. In San Pietro is his picture of St. Peter at the Feet of the Virgin. In San Francesco is an altar-piece, representing Mary Magdalene; and in Santa Maria del Carmina are two pictures by him, of St. Simeon and St. Francis. He died in 1613. See Spooner, Biog.
