a French scholar, was born at Aries about 1730. He studied jurisprudence and theology in his native country, and was made advocate to the parliament of Paris. Later he entered upon the ecclesiastical calling, and was one of the clergy of Saint Andre des Arts. He wrote, L'Esprit de la Religion Chretienne (Paris, 1763): — Le Temple de la Pigie, et OEuvres Diverses (ibid. 1765, 1769): — Nouvelle Methode Geographique (ibid. 1770). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
