a distinguished Italian painter, was born in Tuscany in 1409, and was placed under Masaccio for instruction while quite young. The best of his works are at Florence, in the Hall of Justice, and in the Church of Santa Lucia; also on a wall in the monastery Degli Augeli. He died in 1480. See Spooner, Biog.
