S.T. Callaway [1]

a Baptist minister, was born in Winchester, Clarke Co., Ky., Jan. 14,'1808; was licensed in 1831, and preached in his native state until 1851, when he removed to Illinois, and resided in Jacksonville, Morgan Co., for some time; and removed to Tuscola, in 1862, where for several years he was pastor of the Church. In 1869 he was elected superintendent of public schools for the county, and re-elected in 1873, and was in office until his death, which occurred June 7,1875.
