(Βαιθασμών v. r. Βαιθασμώθ ), a place of which 42 inhabitants are stated to have returned from the captivity (1 Esdras 5:18); evidently the BETH- AZMAVETH (See Beth-Azmaveth) (q.v.) of the genuine text (Nehemiah 7:28; simply AZMAVETH in Ezra 2:24).
