It is probably identical with the modern <translit> 'Admah </translit> , a ruin on the plateau about 10 miles North of <translit> Beisān </translit> .

(Heb. Adamah', אֲדָמָה , ground, as often; Sept. Ἀδαμί v. r. Ἀρμαίθ , Vulg. Edema), a fortified city of Naphtali, mentioned between Chinnereth and Ramnah ( Joshua 19:36 ); probably the same as ADAMI (See <a> ADAMI </a> ) (q.v.) of the same tribe (ver. 33). Schwarz, however (Palest. p. 183), thinks it is the present village Dama, situated, according to him, 5 English miles W.N.W. from Safed; but no such name is given by other travelers.
