Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]

AZAELUS . One of those who put away their foreign wives ( 1Es 9:34 ).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia [2]

az -a -ē´lus (B, Ἀζάηλος , Azáēlos  ; A, Ἀζαήλ , Azaḗl  ; omitted in Ezr 10): Azaelus, son of Ezora, put away his "strange wife" (1 Esdras 9:34).

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [3]

( Ἀζαῆλος ), one of the Israelites, sons of Maani," who is said to have divorced his Gentile wife after the exile ( 1 Esdras 9:34); but the name is apparently an erroneous repetition for the Esril just preceding it (Azareel of Ezra 10:41). (See Azael).
