(Hebrew Acho ’ ach, ‹חוֹח , ְ brotherly; Sept. Ἀχιά v. r. Ἀχιήλ ), one of the sons of Bela, the son of Benjamin ( 1 Chronicles 8:4); called also AHIAH (See Ahiah) ( 1 Chronicles 8:7), and perhaps IRI (See Iri) ( 1 Chronicles 7:7). B.C. post 1856. It is probably he whose descendants are called AHOHITES (See Ahohites) ( 2 Samuel 23:9; 2 Samuel 23:28).
