Samuel Davies Baldwin [1]

a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Worthington, O., Nov. 24, 1818. He graduated with high honor at Woodward College, Cincinnati, O.; experienced conversion while a student at college, and.in 1842 entered the Kentucky Conference. In 1848 he was transferred to the Tennessee Conference, and continued one of its most active and efficient workers until his decease, Oct. 8, 1866.
