Benjamin Austin [1]

a clergyman of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born in 1836. He received his theological training at Gambier, O., and was admitted to the order of deacons by bishop McIlvaine Aug. 4, 1850. Subsequently he was minister of the parishes in Mansfield and Painesville, O., after which he removed to Swansea, Mass., and became rector of Christ Church. Resigning his charge after a year's service, he accepted a call to the rectorship of St. James's Church in Amesbury,, Mass., where he officiated for two years, and died Dec. 1181855.
