(also called Paltroni, after his mother), an Italian canonist, archbishop of Avignon, was born at Bologna in 1577. 'He' studied jurisprudence, was made LL.D., became judge of the Court of Appeals at Rome, and archbishop of Avignon the year before his death, which occurred in 1648. He wrote, De Legitimo.
