Casto Innocente Ansaldi [1]

an Italian antiquarian, was born May 7, 1710, at Piacenza. In 1726 he joined the Order of the Dominicans, and studied at Bologna and Rome. In 1735 he went to Naples as professor of philosophy; in 1745 he was made professor of theology at Brescia; went to Ferrara in 1750; then to Turin, where he died, in 1774.
