Theodore Crinsoz (De Bionens) [1]

a Swiss Protestant theologian, was born in 1690, at Nyon, near Geneva. He had undertaken a new translation of the Bible, but the clergy of Geneva, wishing, without doubt, to be revenged upon him because he had refused to sign the formula of Concord, would not permit him to publish it. He died about 1750, leaving Job, Traduit en Francais (Rotterdam, 1729): — Les Psaumes, Traduits en Francais (Ivuerdun, eod.): — Essai sur l'Apocalypse (eod.), and some polemical works.
