Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words [1]

1: γένος (Strong'S #1085 — Noun Neuter — genos — ghen'-os )

properly denotes "an offspring;" then, "a family;" then, "a race, nation;" otherwise, "a kind or species;" it is translated "countrymen," in  2 Corinthians 11:26 , in Paul's reference to his fellow-nationals; so in  Galatians 1:14 , Rv, for Av, "nation." See Beget.

2: συμφυλέτης (Strong'S #4853 — Noun Masculine — sumphuletes — soom-foo-let'-ace )

lit., "a fellow-tribesman" (sun, "with," phule, "a tribe, race, nation, people"), hence, one who is of the same people, a fellow-countryman, is found in  1 Thessalonians 2:14 .
